Monthly Specials

This month’s seasonal soup: Mediterranean White Bean Soup: white kidney beans, fire-roasted onions and diced tomato are kettle simmered in a hearty mirepoix broth. The soup is finished with escarole greens and a good helping of grated Parmesan. Classic, delicious – and vegetarian! Also gluten free!

House soup: Black Bean – Vegan, gluten free, high in protein and fiber. Optional toppings:  red onion, sour cream (non-vegan) and cheddar cheese (non-vegan).

This season’s salad:  Spring mix, pears, grapes, carrots and curry candied cashews honey Dijon vinaigrette served on the side.

This season’s sandwich: Veggie Gyro Burger: Roasted eggplant, lettuce tomato onion cucumber feta and house made tzatziki sauce on a toasted Kaiser roll.

This month’s featured latte: Nutty Irishman: Jittery Joe’s classic espresso blended with your choice of milk and served either hot or over ice. This can be made caffeinated or decaffeinated. 

Whether you are feeling a little under the weather, or needing to keep your immunity up, you can add a packet of Immunity Boost vitamins to any hot or cold drink for only $0.85.

This month’s featured gelato:  Pistachio. Locally-made (and preservative free).  Also serving vanilla.

Salads

ALP DE HUEZ SALAD
The Tour de France’s queen stage is the name sake for this mile-high mixed greens salad. Piled with  fresh greens, tomatoes, red onions, sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, croutons and topped off with feta cheese, just like the snow-capped Alps. Balsamic dressing served on the side.

GREEK SALAD
A classic taste of the Mediterranean! Romaine lettuce topped with Greek olives, vine ripe tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, pepperoncini peppers and feta cheese. Greek dressing served on the side. (May contain pits.)

THE HIGH WHEELER
This salad will help you roll through the day. Fresh kale and quinoa topped with dried cranberries and walnuts tossed with sundried tomato tahini dressing.

CIPOLLINI CAESAR SALAD
Mario Cipollini and his Saeco squad dressed up as ancient Romans during a rest day at the 1999 Tour de France, both to celebrate Julius Caesar’s birthday and to commemorate Cipo’s record 4th consecutive Tour de France stage win. Fresh kale, tossed with our homemade Caesar dressing and croutons, topped with Asiago cheese.

SOUTHWEST SALAD
Romaine topped with tomatoes, red onions, cheddar cheese, sour cream, roasted corn and black bean salsa, guacamole  and tortilla chips. Cilantro lime dressing served on the side.

CHEF SALAD
Romaine topped with vine ripe tomatoes, red onions, carrots, cucumber, cheddar cheese, hard boiled eggs, croutons, turkey and ham.

Sandwiches

THE FUMY
Named in honor of Japan’s most famous road cyclist. Vegan chicken strips and diced mushrooms marinated in our homemade teriyaki sauce. Served with Bibb lettuce, shredded red cabbage, carrots, scallions and crushed peanuts.

VEGGIE BLT
Wheat toast, veggie bacon, guacamole, vine ripe tomatoes and romaine lettuce.

TOUR MEDITERRANEEN
Inspired by the Tour Méditerranéen, a six-day stage race held in southern France along the Mediterranean Sea. An annual event since 1974. This tasty creation is served with homemade hummus, lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes, red onion, sprouts, black olives,
cucumber, feta cheese and drizzled with Greek dressing on Italian bread.

BAHN MI
Our own twist on this tasty Vietnamese staple. Vegan chicken strips marinated in homemade soy infusion, cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon, fresh cilantro and jalapenos on a lightly toasted sub roll.

THE GRAN FONDO
You may never ride the Tour de France but this tasty sandwich will give you all you need to finish your next century or Gran Fondo. Roasted zucchini, yellow squash, red onion, mushrooms, and red peppers, provolone cheese and our homemade balsamic vinaigrette on toasted locally-sourced ciabatta bread.

VEGETARIAN BUFFALO CHICKEN HOAGIE
Our own version of the classic bar sandwich. Vegan chick’un tenders tossed in buffalo sauce and topped with chopped romaine lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes and drizzled with blue cheese dressing on a lightly toasted hoagie roll.

EL PURITO BURRITO
Named after Spanish climbing star Joaquim Rodríguez (aka El Purito), this tasty combination will fill you up but keep you light on your feet for what lies ahead!Our cilantro-lime rice, red onions, black bean and roasted corn salsa and cheddar cheese in a whole wheat tortilla. Add our fajita seasoned vegan chicken strips for an extra charge.

NIBALI
Named after famous Italian cyclist, Vincenzo “The Shark” Nibali, winner of the Tour de France, the Vuelta and of course the Giro d’ Italia. Veggie eggplant “meatballs”, marinara sauce, fresh basil, melted Asiago and provolone cheeses on a toasty hoagie roll. Mama mia!

THE MESSENGER
Dedicated to our single-speed brothers and sisters delivering packages by bike in The Big Apple.This wheat bread sandwich has layers of sliced red apple, swiss cheese, red onion and a light drizzle of honey mustard – then it is hot pressed! Choose turkey, ham or vegan meat.

CAPRESE PANINI
Fresh mozzarella, vine ripe tomatoes, fresh basil and our home made balsamic dressing on locally sourced ciabatta bread – hot pressed.

TOUR OF CALIFORNIA
This big and tasty sandwich was inspired by the West Coast stage race held every Spring. Made up of sliced turkey topped
with romaine lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes, sprouts, guacamole, homemade hummus and provolone cheese. Topped
with a dash of salt & pepper and oil & vinegar and served on multi-grain bread.

THE IVAN
Inspired by our favorite Cuban-American pro cyclist! Ham, turkey, yellow mustard, sliced dill pickles and provolone cheese,
wrapped and hot pressed. Make it vegetarian by subbing black beans for the ham and turkey.

CHICKEN CHÈVRE
Grilled chicken with herbed goat cheese, spinach, vine ripe tomato and red onion hot pressed on locally sourced ciabatta
bread.

BETTINI PANINI
A sandwich former World, Italian and Olympic Road Race Champion, Paolo Bettini would surely enjoy. This hot pressed panini is fused with fresh mozzarella cheese, salami, pepperoni, ham and pesto on locally sourced ciabatta bread. This is a sandwich that is truly Bellissimo!

THE YELLOW JERSEY
Inspired by the leader of the Tour de France, this sandwich will definitely get you to the finish line ahead of the competition! A champion-sized sandwich! Turkey and ham piled high on a double deck of multigrain bread and topped with romaine lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes, red onion, sprouts, cheddar cheese, yellow mustard and lite mayonnaise.

BUILD  YOUR OWN SANDWICH

CHOOSE ONE – egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, turkey, ham, tempeh, veggie bacon, vegan sliced “meat”.

BREADS – can be toasted or hot pressed upon request. Italian, wheat, 7 grain, pumpernickel-rye swirl, whole wheat wrap, bagel, lettuce wraps, gluten free (extra), croissant (extra).

THE EARLY BREAK-FAST WRAP

THE BOONEN BELGIAN WAFFLE
This classic Belgian breakfast deserves to be teamed with one the best Classics riders of all time, Tom Boonen. A fluffy made-to- order Belgian waffle served with butter and pure maple syrup.

Our signature Belgian waffle topped with fresh strawberries, sliced bananas, walnuts and topped with fresh whipped cream. Add a drizzle of Ghirardelli chocolate for $0.69.

HORS CATEGORIE NACHOS
HC is the term used to designate the highest mountains in a cycling race and the perfect name for our piled high nachos. Gluten free tortilla chips, black beans, red onions, vine ripe tomatoes, black olives, jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese and your choice of grilled chicken or fajita seasoned vegan chicken strips. Salsa and sour cream served on the side. Add a scoop of guacamole for an additional charge.
